Thanks for visiting us at Future Ed

The marketing and education team from Maropeng recently exhibited at Future Ed, South Africa’s first educational resource exhibition show. It was a great experience for Maropeng, which was the only tourist destination there, says Magel van de Venter,  Maropeng's education and marketing executive. “It was a great opportunity for us to be amongst other educators. We were in the right location and we got a lot of positive feedback from people we met and a lot of leads. We look forward to welcoming our new contacts to the visitor centre for the Cradle of Humankind.”

Maropeng representatives General Manager Erica Jago, Curator Lindsay Marshall, and Marketing Assistant Ntlotleng Kobue, joined Magel at the exhibition to make new contacts and share the news that the exhibition at the Maropeng Visitor Centre is a wonderful education resource.

Educators who met us at Future Ed 2011, qualify for a great discount if they book their school tour before the end of July 2011. If you met us at Future Ed, make sure that you don't miss out on this great offer and experience for your learners.

The facility offers group accommodation for up to 120 learners or adults, with separate rooms for teachers or leaders. Group accommodation encourages bonding between learners after a day of exploring and learning about the origins of humankind. Learn more with Lindsay

Learn about the origins of humankind in more detail with Maropeng Curator Lindsay Marshall, who says that there is a world of knowledge at this award-winning tourist attraction. “Maropeng gives learners an opportunity to have an in-depth educational experience where they can gain a detailed understanding of human evolution, of how to compare fossils and about the significance of the Cradle of Humankind as a World Heritage Site,” she says.

For an extra cost, schools can book an in-depth tour with Lindsay, where they will have an opportunity to go on a journey through time to learn about humankind’s evolution.
